Apparently, I Like Hats….
December 10th, 2005So I started the day with a call from my ex, Michelle… And my best buddy Justin, who was finishing work up and wanted to get some food. I told him to head on over and I would go take a quick shower. He showed up right after I was ready and we decided to go to a buffet somewhere. I had called our buddy Nick earlier and he finally called back and said his car was not running right so I volunteered to pick him up. Justin and I made our way to the University of Tulsa to pick up Nick and then we all went to Ryan’s Steak House at 71st and Memorial. We devoured mass quantities of fried chicken, okrah(that how you spell it?), mashed potatoes, brisket, etc… I then decided to show everyone my amazing discovery… Peeled pears, filled with cottage cheese in the middle, and topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Let me just say first that this was a bad idea. A BAD IDEA!
Nick and I looked up to see that Justin had pulled a Houdini and made his piece of nasty dessert disappear in an instant….. but then made it re-appear! EEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW!
I tried to take half of the dessert and soon pulled the same magic trick. This caused justin to release a good part of his lunch onto his plate. Soon, that caused Nick and I to retreat from the restaurant and into the parking lot. On the way there I caught a whiff of the nasty catfish that was being cooked and told Nick to run out the front door. Upon arriving at the front door I delivered my lunch unto the unsuspecting snow covering the sidewalk leading to the front door. This caused Nick to sprint for the parking lot. Justin soon followed and felt it necessary to hurl once again. This caused me to release more of my lunch onto the parking lot behind my jeep. All this, mind you, happening right outside the window in front of dozens of poor patrons trying to get some lunch. Nick caught a whiff of Justin’s lunch and delivered his tasty, bright green, lunch to the parking lot Gods too. This continued for a while until we were all able to keep our stomach’s under control. We then went to Justin’s house to clean up, use mouthwash, etc. Upon exiting my Jeep, I vacated my stomach once again. During both these episodes, we were taking pictures. I will leave this up to Justin to post those.
After that we went to an indoor soccer game and wathed some of Nick’s friends from the University of Tulsa play and drank a few, or several pitchers of beer. Yelling, screaming, taunting, cursing, and outright rudeness insued as a result of said pitchers. An acquaintance of mine from work, Nicole, showed up to join in the festivites… As did a whole bunch of Nick’s fraternity brothers. After the games, Nick, Justin and I went to the 71st Street Depot to grab a few beers and watch The Usual Suspects play for a bit. Karen met us up there and hung out for a bit. I also had the pleasure of meeting up with Molly Crowe again, while she joined us for a few pitchers of beer. Once Molly gave Justin a ride back to his car, Nick and I ventured over to the University of Tulsa to continue with the celebration. We partied there until a little before 3, then I decided it was time to go home and BLOG MY WAY INTO HISTORY! Not really, I just decided to make an entry before I went to bed.
Check out Justin’s story about this: Expeling Food Media, A Day To Remember.
So, apparently I like hats (not telling you why that is)… and the friends that barf together, stay together. Happy days to all!!!
